Question:

Can a team be made up of runners and walkers, and of individuals registered in different course distances?

Answer:

Yes! A team can be made up of runners and walkers and individuals participating in the 3KM, 5KM or 10KM events.

Question:

Is this a chipped (timed) event?

Answer:

There will be a time clock at the start/finish line so you will be able to take note of your personal time if interested. This is not a chipped event and personal times won’t be posted following the event.

Question:

If I raise money for Wellspring Calgary what does the money I raise go towards?

Answer:

All funds raised go directly to Wellspring Calgary and will enable the organization to offer programs and services to people living with cancer in the future.

Question:

Do I need to complete my fundraising before a certain date?

Answer:

Yes, in order to qualify for incentive prizes, fundraising must be submitted before 7PM on Friday, April 7th. If your fundraising is done exclusively through the Running Room online tools, event organizers will know your fund raising totals. If you have collected offline pledges, please submit your Offline Pledge Form at kit pick-up at Eau Claire Market on Thursday, April 6th or Friday, April 7th so that you will qualify for incentive prizes.

Question:

Will all registrants and event volunteers be eligible to win the door prizes?

Answer:

Yes, if you are an event registrant or event volunteer tear off the bottom portion of your number bib and place it in the prize bin labeled “Door Prize Bin” and you will be eligible to win one of the many awesome door prizes. Visit the event website and look under “incentive prizes” to learn more about door prizes.

Question:

Will there be water stations along the course?

Answer:

Because of the short distances there will not be water stations along the course. There will be food, hot beverages and water provided at the Post Event Celebration within Eau Claire market.

Question:

Can I register for the event once online registration closes on April 5th?

Answer:

Yes, you can register at the Eau Claire Running Room store on April 6th, 7th and 8th as well as at kit pick up.

Question:

When and where is kit pick up?

Answer:

Kit pick up will be available just outside the Running Room store in Eau Claire Market on April 8th, 2017.

Question:

What time should I plan to arrive at Eau Claire Market on April 8th?

Answer:

Aim to arrive by 7:45PM if you have already picked up your registration kit. Arrive no later than 7PM if you want to pick up your registration kit or register for the event on April 8th.

Question:

Do all participants need to be formally registered?

Answer:

Yes, the City Of Calgary requires the event organizer to require all participants to be formally registered and the event insurer also requires this so that all registrants fall within the insurance coverage.
