Join the Light It Up Calgary Volunteer Team!

On a beautiful, dark night this April, the light from many headlamps will warm the hearts of hundreds of enthusiastic runners and walkers as they bob and weave along the Bow River pathway in support of those who are living with cancer. A crew of close to 100 charged up volunteers, the Light it Up Calgary Volunteer Team, will lend their enthusiastic support and help make the Fourth Annual Light It Up Calgary an enormous success!

Light It Up Calgary takes place on Saturday, April 7th at Eau Claire Market in Calgary and it will be an April event NOT to be missed!

This is the fourth annual Light It Up Calgary event highlighting the outstanding support that Wellspring Calgary offers to anyone living with any type of cancer within southern Alberta; while also raising funds to ensure that the organization’s programs and services, freely offered to anyone who needs them, remain widely available.

Light It Up Calgary 2018 requires the contribution and involvement of many dedicated volunteers! Those who are interested in joining the Light It Up Calgary Volunteer Team are encouraged to apply by sending an e-mail expressing interest to: volunteer@lightitupcalgary.ca

Volunteers will serve as course marshals, final stretch cheerleaders, indoor food/beverage distributers, setup, and take-down crews, etc. Please be sure to indicate your volunteer preference either at a station indoors in the Market or outdoors, en route.

The Light It Up Calgary Volunteer training and information night is scheduled for Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Community Room at Eau Claire Market. If you want to volunteer for this event please plan to attend this training session and the April event. As an event volunteer you will need to be present at Eau Claire Market from 6:00 -10:00 PM on April 7, 2018.

All event volunteers will be given a high quality shirt commemorating their involvement and contribution to the event.

With our thanks, volunteer today and … ‘Shine a little light!’
